Local food recommendations Every trip includes curated food recommendations in the app, based on personal visits by our travel designers. Eating locally keeps your spending in the community, not with international chains. |

Paradores and Pousadas When available, we include Paradores in Spain and Pousadas in Portugal in our trips. These government-run hotels breathe new life into historic buildings in towns that needed economic recovery. |

Matarraña, emptied Spain Our route through Matarraña runs through one of Spain's most overlooked inland regions. By bringing travellers here, we help spread tourism to places that genuinely benefit from it. |

Shared Camino luggage transport On all Camino routes, luggage is moved by specialist carriers who combine loads from multiple travellers. This keeps transfers efficient and reduces the number of vehicles on the road. |

Camino for reduced mobility We offer adapted Camino routes designed for travellers with reduced mobility. Routes carefully planned to keep ascent and descent to a minimum, with accessible accommodation and adapted taxi transfers. |

Starlight Camino, Allande Our Camino Primitivo passes through Allande, Spain's first certified Starlight municipality, an area that remains one of the least light-polluted places in the country, offering exceptional opportunities for stargazing. Travelling on foot or by bike through this sparsely populated landscape is also a sustainable way to explore the region, helping to support local communities while preserving its natural environment and dark skies. |

Trip start and end points are designed to connect to train stations or bus stops where possible. Every roadbook includes step-by-step public transport instructions, updated every year.
Depending on the route, luggage is handled by accommodation owners, local taxi services, our own hybrid vehicle in Asturias, or shared specialist carriers on Camino routes.
The places you stay are locally owned or family-run wherever possible. We visit owners personally before adding them to any trip. Where available, we include Paradores in Spain and Pousadas in Portugal, government-run hotels in repurposed historic buildings.
Lunches and dinners are not included, so your spending goes directly to local restaurants and producers. The app includes specific recommendations for every stop along your route.

Responsible travel is easy to claim, but we chose to verify it through Travelife. As an independent certification programme for tour operators, Travelife evaluates how we manage our impact on people and the environment. S-Cape Travel holds Travelife Certified status, the highest level in the programme. Reaching it means an independent auditor has assessed how we work across the board: the accommodation partners we choose, how we treat our guides, how we track our carbon footprint, and how we run our office. For us, it's a way of making sure that what we say about responsible travel matches what we actually do. |

Sustainability Policy
Behind every adventure is a clear set of guidelines that shape how we work: from the way our offices operate to how we select partners, design routes, and communicate with travellers.
What is a Sustainability Policy?
It is a document that we created after setting up a "Sustainability Team" within the office, which is a group of people in charge of drawing up precise corporate sustainability goals and dedicating part of their time to coordinating the rest of the office in achieving them. After obtaining Travelife's sustainability certifications, we certainly don't want to stop: the goal was to draw up an action plan to constantly improve the company's performance in the field of sustainability. This is why we decided to create the Sustainability Policy.
Ours is a public document, which we put here for you to consult: one of our goals is maximum transparency, so that you can always check what we are doing and the goals we set ourselves and hope to achieve.
