This 8‑day Picos de Europa Mini Trek follows different routes through the national park, connecting villages such as Posada de Valdeón, Espinama, Sotres and Arenas, and including the classic Cares Gorge walk. 
Daily stages involve sustained ascents and descents, suitable for hikers used to moderate mountain days. 
One of the highlights is the night spent at the Vega de Urriellu mountain hut, directly below the Picu Urriellu, where you carry only what you need for the night. For the rest of the trek, you can choose to hike with or without luggage transport, depending on how light you prefer to walk.
