The accommodations and breakfast was excellent. The variety of terrain on La Gomera was beautiful and varied. The luggage transfer and all logistics were all as planned with no surprises. Overall an excellent experience which was very well planned by S-Scape
This was one of the best cycling trips we have ever experienced! The roads were in great shape, the traffic was minimal, the weather was perfect, and the scenery was breathtaking! We cycled through rows and rows of olive trees and cork trees and stayed in beautiful white villages in Andalucia. Our hotel reservations and luggage transport were all planned out with no issues. Thank you to all of the people at S-Cape Travel!
We spontaneously decided to go on vacation and try and get last days of good hiking weather. S-cape were really great - all checking, booking and confirming was done in 3 days. One hotel had to be replaced to more expensive one but it allowed us to go on hike. Weather was fantastic, no rains, sunny and cool. It was very suitable to hike on Kashtanweg when chestnuts are picked up and we had chestnut beer, chestnut hearts and checstnut pies, and chestnut mousse etc etc. Luggage transfer worked excellent and each time was delivered before 16 as promised. Cant wait to be back .
Great holiday helping us discover a beautiful, varied part of Spain. Beautiful hill top villages, unspoilt countryside, and finish in the fabulous city of Cadiz.
We had a great vacation in Toscana. San Gimignano, Certaldo and Volterra are really great places to have the feeling of how people lived in the medieval era.
Accommodation was all really good - great hosts, nice places and good food. 10/10. Food at Glenmachrie immense. Luggage transfers spot on - especially on the return as we had to rearrange times as ferry had been cancelled, no bother at all with the providers. To be noted lots of places were closed on Monday on Arran - there was no opportunity for coffee at Whiting Bay or lunch at Laggs. Whilst not part of the trip would give a shout out for Jim at Islay Cycles in Port Ellen - lovely guy, very helpful if there are any bike issues.
All worked like clockwork except at Locanda Mistral, where we were told on arrival that they had made a mistake and only 1 room was available, with a not friendly owner proposing half hearted, half backed solutions that sounded like an invitation to look for another place. Thankfully, we called Marco at your Italian help line and he managed to turn around the situation and make our second room appear miraculously (we still not know how). The incident should never have happened (given we booked in March), but the resolution was very good, so kudos to Marco for that!
Think you have nailed the self-guided walking tour concept. We will come back for more!
We liked Pazo do Souto, they offer also nice dinner, so no need for a transfer to the town Casa da Vasca has an amazing location Rural Hotel do Cotarino. Unfortunately for the first time on a s-cape tour we were not lucky with the weather, it was raining almost every day. We still enjoyed the hike, but ther are no spectacular pictures to share!
