Day 1: Arrival in Olot
Arrival at your lovely rural accommodation with private swimming pool. The perfect base for your cycling routes in the next few days. And just steps away from the hotel, one of the best restaurants in all of La Garrotxa.
Challenge: Travel to Cataluña and arrival in Olot.
Day 2: La Garrotxa Natural Park (24 km / 15 mi)
Get going with a ride in La Garrotxa Natural Park, a veritable mosaic of landscapes. Roll along through beech woods and open farmland. Linger at ancient lava flows and enchanting villages. Stop off to stretch your legs on optional walks to natural and historic monuments.
Challenge: 24 km / 15 mi, 270 m ascent and descent

Day 3: Cycling routes from Olot (8 - 48 km / 5 - 30 mi)
Cycling routes from Olot: today you'll choose between three tours available. Explore intriguing landscapes, while riding through gorgeous beech woods, past agricultural fields and among ancient lava flows, then on to enchanting villages.
Challenge: 8 - 32 - 48 km / 5 - 20 - 30 mi, 150 / 120 / 350 m ascent and descent

Day 4: From Olot to Girona (59 km / 36,5 mi)
Today you'll do some truly pleasurable cycling along a converted railway bike path, the Via Verde, from Olot to the medieval town centre of Girona. Enjoy the green rural scenery which gives way to a lovely city with its imposing cathedral and colourful houses along the river.
Challenge: 59 km / 36,5 mi, 150 m ascent, 500 m descent

Day 5: End of arrangement
Today after breakfast, your arrangement comes to an end, leaving you with a wonderful sensation and plans to one day return.

Mas Can Blanc (Olot)
Can Blanc is an 19th century "masía" (ctraditional cottage house). It was completely resotred to provide its facilities with the maximum comfort. It also has a wide terrace, a private swimming pool, a garden area of 8,000 m2 and a private parking area.
Hotel Historic (Girona)
Located in the very heart of Girona´s old town, next to the cathedral and near Sant Domènec square. This hotel is a mix between history and modernity; the building has foundations from Roman times, 11th century walls, and has been renovated preserving the spirit of the time adding the comfort and elegance of modern times.

The nearest airports to La Garrotxa are: Girona (GRO) and Barcelona (BCN)
Arrival in Olot:
- From Girona airport (GRO) there is a good bus connection to Girona bus station (Line 607, 30 min trip), and from there you continue your trip by bus to Olot (see time tables at www.teisa-bus.com).
- From Barcelona airport El Prat (BCN) after taking airport shuttle bus, from Barcelona city center you can travel first by train to Girona and then continue by bus to Olot. There is also a bus service from Barcelona airport via Girona airport to Girona city centre (Line 602, check www.sagales.com)
Departure from Girona:
- To Girona airport (GRO) you can go by bus from Girona bus station (city centre) (Line 607, check www.sagales.com)
- To get to Barcelona airport El Prat (BCN) you can go from Girona by bus (line 602 via Girona airport) or by train from Girona to Barcelona Sants station (1.5 hrs). Check timtables at www.renfe.com
