Meet your taxi driver at the airport for your transfer to Athens center. Enjoy your first evening in the Plaka area.
The tour starts on Syntagma square. First you meet the Evzones, then walk through the National Gardens to the Olympic Stadium ‘Kalimarmaro’, where you can take the audio-tour including a visit to the well-hidden catacombs. Stroll past the temple of Zeus to the rooftop restaurant at an excellent hotel to enjoy a cold starter, whilst enjoying views of the Acropolis.
Continue along to Dionysos Theatre and the Acropolis Museum, then ascend to the sacred rock at the Acropolis. Walk down into Plaka to try the hot starters at a typical traditional Greek tavern.
Along the Roman and Greek Agora you walk through the oldest parts of the city to the restaurant in Thission for your main dish in an excellent restaurant with show kitchen.
For dessert you walk the final short stretch of this intriguing route, past the Kerameikos Ancient site and the restored gas factory. In the trendy area around metro station Kerameikos, you will enjoy your dessert. This area of the city boasts lots of trendy bars and cafes, should you still have energy to continue the day far into the night.

The Jason Inn is a simple hotel, conveniently located in between Psyrri and the ancient site of Kerameikos. The Acropolis and the Plaka, the old center of Athens, are within walking distance. The hotel is very close to the metro station Thission. The view from the rooftop to the Acropolis is terrific!
For this trip you have to fly into Athens airport (ATH). The arrival transfer from the airport to the hotel is included.
